We have seen a lot of people start their preparation in 7th and 8th grade but this is the time when you have to make your basic science concepts clear and well versed. You do not need to go for a coaching at such tender age but at least from 11th grade you can start your preparation and this should be parallel with your school study. You can also take a one year gap and then start your preparation. At last the choice is always yours.

The competition is very heavy in this examination. Every year almost 15 lakhs students appear for the exam and seat intake is somewhere around 79000 including government medical colleges, private medical colleges, AIIMS and JIPMER.
